OPERATION ORDER OPERATION TREBUCHET - JOINT OPERATION
Alpha Platoon, Troop 4
10JUL16

ORIENTATION: For this operation, The Commander, Ferdinad Glease, of the ALA group has been located by the Altian Government. (IVO 09-20).

Weather: Clear skies
Time of Operation: 0300Z (0600 local)
Other Major Factors:  high Winds
Estimated Mission Time: 1h-2h

SITUATION:
Time: 0300Z (0600 local)
Size: 30-60 Fighters
Unit: Altis Liberation Army
Activity: guarding the village, relaxed
Location: Northwest Altis
Equipment: They are equipped with old soviet-bloc weapons and equipment

Capabilities and Limitations:

DRAW-D:
Defend: I expect the enemy to defend their position to the last man
Reinforce: I expect the enemy to reinforce their position
Attack: I do not expect the enemy to attack unless Friendly forces expose themselves
Withdraw: I do not expect the enemy to withdraw.

MISSION:

Alpha Platoon: Alpha Platoon will be split into their Alpha, Bravo and Charlie Boat Teams. Alpha Platoon will be responsible for assaulting the village on Objective "Giant" 


EXECUTION:
Alpha Platoon will utilize 160th SOAR (A) C130 to Halo onto DZ "Drifter" (TBD). Once on the deck Bravo Boat Team's Recce element will move 50-100 metres ahead and of the main Platoon element to scout the route to the RP "Goose" (TBD). After reaching the RP "Goose" Bravo's Recce Element will sit on the hill to the East to provide overwatch while Alpha and Charlie Boat Teams maneuver to the North and South respectively.  After the Objective has been cleared the Engineer and Demolitions will gather all recovered EPWs and move them to the most Eastern side of the  compound for protection before extraction. Once the raid has been completed Alpha Platoon will move back to DZ "Drifter" for extraction.

Commanders Intent: Primary focus is the Capture of Ferdinad Glease.

Fire Support Plan:
N/A refer to Silver Bullet Package, 160th SOAR (A) OPORD

Alpha Platoon: Capture of Ferdinad Glease and any of his associates.

Coordinating Instructions:
Alpha Platoon: See Execution
  • Commander must know locations of all elements in AO before leaving base
  • Positive Identification (PID) of targets is required before all fires are to be taken

ROE:
  • Once fired upon any person with a weapon is declared to be hostile
  • Use appropriate force to destroy a target
  • Use deadly force if necessary to defend yourself, a teammate, or HVT/hostage
    Detention of civilians is authorized to ensure security / maintain self defense

ADMIN AND LOGISTICS:

CASEVAC: All casualties are to be handled on site if possible, if not, medical staff at MSS Castle will be available to treat the wounded

Enemy prisoners of war (EPWs):  HVT's will be handcuffed and placed in a secure, defendable position, until it is time to extract. At that time they will be brought back to HQ to be questioned.

Ammo/Loadouts: 

Alpha Platoon will be wearing Ranger Green bottoms and tops with matching FAST/Ops Core or MICH2001 Hard Covers.
